The Turban..... No more bad hair days...
Gone are the days when wearing a turban(doek) made people look untidy or not fashionable.
Turbans are huge this season. I've learnt a few styles myself, and would love to share what i have learnt with you. (names made up by yours truly)
I will try my best to decribe the different styles to you in words.
The trick is trying to be as creative as possible and making the style your own.
1. The twist.
Tie your turban from the back so the knot is on your forehead. Make sure that both sides are the same size.(You can decide whether you want it to cover your head or not) then twist both sides together. And then twist it into a bun.
2. The 1000 apologies.
Tie your turban from the back but this time make sure that there is a long side and a short side(not too short). When you tie it, make sure that the short side is flat on your forehead. Then twist the long side(like you did in the twist) into a bun. Then take the short side, pull it back(towards your neck, covering the bun). Twist it a bit and then tuck it in at the back.
3. The hook.
This is the easiest of them all. You put your turban on the back of your head as if you're abt to tie it (like the above). But instead of tying it, hook the two sides and then move them to the back and then tuck them in. (To cover your whole head, you would have to tie it back 1st and then take the 2 parts to the front and hook them.
4. The Bow.
Tie your turban from the back, after making a knot tie it into a bow. You can decide on the size of the bow and on which side of your head you would like it to be.
How to style your hair to get the best results... And up do works out the best because your hair will be flat at the back. You can plait it up or tie your hair up in a bun.
I hope you are able to understand and try these out. Good luck bloggers.
